beauty__imageSome women love shoes, some handbags and others jewellery.  My thing has always been make-up but it wasn’t until my 40s that I made it my job by giving up an office-based career and retraining as a make-up artist and I just adore it!

The technology behind today’s cosmetics means that the right products can make a woman look fabulous at any age and many of the large multinational brands are now targetting more mature women as well as the ethnic market.

skin_camouflageMy bespoke make-up lessons teach contemporary looks, new application techniques and colours to enhance your skin and hair.  It’s easy to get into a make-up rut but many women tell me they dread buying make-up, coming away with products that they never use or are exactly the same as those they already have.  I once met a woman whose make-up bag was filled with about 20 versions of the same colour lipstick!

I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to make-up, always researching what’s new, fabulous and what really works.  Products that look good when weddingsapplied but have disappeared by morning coffee break don’t make it into my kit - I firmly believe that your make-up should work with your life style.  Getting to know you and your make-up needs is key to the way I work.

Even concerns over scarring, tattoos and conditions such as pigmentation, vitiligo and rosacea can be easily dealt with using my full range of camouflage cosmetics.  These cosmetics are long-lasting, waterproof and smudge resistant as well as giving superb coverage.

fun_stuffHere’s what a client said about her recent make-up lesson, “I went to a party on Saturday fully made up, for the first time in a long time I felt really confident and my partner said I looked stunning, so thank you very much, you have given me a much better outlook.”  So whether its bridal make-up, a lesson or make-up for a photo shoot please do get in touch and in the meantime get lots of great make-up tips by following me on Twitter @RowenaMakeUp.
