INGREDIENTS:

50g red lentils

5g linseeds/flaxseeds

Pinch of cumin seeds

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon of rice bran oil or hemp seed oil

100ml water (you could use soya milk as an alternative)

You could add an egg to increase quantity


METHOD:

Grind up the dry ingredients in a coffee grinder, or using a pestle and mortar

Mix with the water and oil.  This mixture will be very thin to start with as it needs to rest for at least an hour.

Dry-fry in a non-stick pan to the size that you require.

 

These are gorgeous served with yoghurt or butter, or home-made chutney ... or..... you decide!!
